I am getting low battery notifications for my Nest Thermostat but the battery is showing 3.15 volts. Any suggestions. I do have a c-wire connection.

Hello sishman,

Thanks for reaching out! It's odd that you're receiving low battery notifications despite your Nest Thermostat having a c-wire connection. A few things could be causing this issue, and here are some suggestions to troubleshoot:

  1. Ensure that your c-wire is properly connected to both your thermostat and HVAC system. Sometimes, a loose connection might cause intermittent power issues.
  2. Try restarting your Nest Thermostat. This can sometimes resolve software glitches or temporary issues. You can do this by going to the thermostat settings and selecting "Restart."
  3. Make sure that your Nest Thermostat has the latest software installed. Updates may contain bug fixes that could resolve issues like false low battery notifications.
  4. While your voltage reading is 3.15 volts, it's worth double-checking this value with a multimeter to ensure accuracy. Please gather your thermostat's power readings in the Technical Info settings or in the Equipment settings, depending on the Nest Thermostat model you have.

Let us know how it goes.

Best regards,
Mark
