Nest Thermostat

I have recently installed Google into my home, I have the Learning Nest Thermostat. 

It won't connect to my Google Home App, the app doesn't allow the 4 digits of the serial number to be entered. 

I have also read on here that when the Thermostat is added to the Nest app it will link to the Google Home app.

This has not happened, I am using the same WiFi but no success.

I have also emailed requesting help with this issue but no response from Google.

Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

It sounds like you're facing some challenges with your Nest Learning Thermostat integration into the Google Home app, and I understand how inconvenient that can be. Let's sort this out!

Double-check that you are using the correct Nest app, as sometimes confusion arises between the Google Home and Nest apps. If you haven't already, make sure you successfully setup the thermostat in the Nest app and try installing or reinstalling the Google Home app on your device. 

Additionally, when adding the thermostat to the Nest app, it should indeed link to the Google Home app automatically. If this isn't happening, there might be an underlying problem. Verify the email account you used for the setup and ensure you logged in with the same in both apps.

I have the correct apps, I have reinstalled both apps and it still doesn't work. I am using the same email for both apps.

Hi there,

Thanks for letting me know, and I'm sorry for the late reply. To be sure, is this a first-time installation and setup? If not, could you please go to the Nest App settings in your thermostat itself and let me know the message it shows? Also, gather the power readings in the Technical Info settings. This would help me determine if this is a power-related issue that hinders you to add in the app.
