Good Evening

Thank you for coming back to me.

I have already checked everything what you have mentioned and it didn’t stop the guests from being able to use the manual mode.

Once it’s put into manual mode I lose control my end.

Also the temp is locked at 21• and guests who have checked in today have turned it up to 25•.

I’ve attached some photos of thr settigns and wonder if you would be kind enough to have a look and advise.

Many thanks

I'm going to ask which might be a silly question, as I can see you have had expert advice from the forum moderator!

First of all before I ask the question, when asking questions on here it's better to reply to the post you have open. Don't start a new post otherwise the people that are helping will not get a message back to them. From now reply in this post if you want help, it's quicker.

OK, now the question...........The lock you are setting for the tempreture are you doing it in the app or on the display?

Are you trying to set the temp to say 21 fixed or a range between say 9 - 21, and then NOT allow anyone to alter except yourself?

I am setting the lock via the app.

I am trying to set the temp  for a range between say 9 - 21, and then NOT allow anyone to alter except myself

That might be your problem!

Have you locked via the app, then confirmed by looking at the Display?

Reason being, if you are not how do you know the lock has activated? Look at the Display and you will see a padlock, that should confirm the lock is activated.

The best way is to do via the Display, then you can check it's locked, and try altering yourself on site.

On site you can set the tempreture to a single setting or a range like you want. I would certainly do that for confirmation.

thank you for your response.

I have checked on the display and it def shows as locked

That makes no sense in that case, as when on site you will see yourself the dial can only be rotated to the set range. Have you checked that on site? Have you tried to get into the display while on site, even by restarting? I

The display when you are looking at it, does it have the lock visible, and when trying to change tempreture it allows you to do that OK? When you press the dial does it always ask for the unlock code, or anything other than change the tempreture?

Does your tenant have access to the app for the Thermostat by any chance?

When the thermostat is locked like you are doing, anyone who has access via the app can alter the tempreture to anything they wish!

Would that make sense?

what does it mean when guests switch it to manual mode.

Ah, now there is an issue, clever tenant, but I thought the Heat link is in a locked box!!

Manual is when the Heat Link button is pressed, and that overides everything. No stat control it just runs and runs and the heat can rise to anything. You stop manual mode by pressing the Heat Link button again.
