Hi there, ever since I installed the Nest Learning Thermostats in my condo a couple months ago, I started hearing these clicking noises.
The noises were intermittent when the AC was on in the summer, but now that the building switched to Heating, I hear the clicking continuously and it’s really bothering me (I also had to remove the Y1 wire at that time as I had the E80 error which was a nuisance).
Is the clicking noise a compatibility issue with my fan coil unit? I read here that other people had the same issues and it’s about voltage and power issues, etc. is there any risk of damaging my fan coil units?
If there is no easy fix for this, I would like to return the thermostats back to Google and get a refund (I’m past the Best Buy 30day return policy).
Please advise.

Yes, still need help. I have the Nest Learning Thermostats. My fan coil units are Unilux LE450. Do you know if they are compatible?

Hi MonPop,
Thanks for the response. Could you share how your Nest Thermostat is wired? Also, please check the power readings of your Nest Thermostat. You could find this info by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.
Thanks,
Edward

Hi MonPop,
Thanks for the response. Your power readings look fine but it's possible that you may need a C wire for your Nest thermostat. We'd like to know more about this. Please fill out this form so we could investigate further.
Thanks,
Edward
