I installed new Nest Tstats on a 2 wire hot water boiler. They work great but I got the power error. So I used a spare Tstat wire to connect the Tstat to the common side of the furnaces transformer. That resolved the power issue but now it won’t heat the house. I’m going to replace the transformer since it is about 25 years old and probably isn’t rated for all these devices but I was curious if anyone else had these issues and what they did to resolve them
