Nest Wiring Compatibility Check

wjkelly99

Just purchased a new Nest thermostat Model #: GA01334-CA

Want to check wiring to make sure it works with our furnace. Where can I upload a photo of our existing wiring/thermostat to the group to determine compatibility? Here's a link just in case:

Hi @wjkelly99,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand that you just purchased a new Nest Thermostat (2020) and want to check the wiring compatibility to make sure it works properly with your furnace. I appreciate you sharing the picture of your wiring configuration. No worries, I'd be more than glad to help you.

After checking the wiring of your system, your system is compatible with your new Nest Thermostat (2020)! Please note that the Nest Thermostat doesn't require the jumper wire currently in place between the R and Rc terminals. To get started, please remove that jumper and connect your existing red wire directly to the R terminal on the Nest base.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Jonathan
