Nest and Bosch EP Series Heat Pump

Hey there,

I have a Nest Thermostat E connected to a Bosch EP Series heat pump in my condo. We are having trouble with the system not getting to the desired temperature and then the fan keeps running with no cooling. If we cycle the unit off it will restart cooling, but as it approaches the desired temperature it stops cooling again with the fan staying on.

Any suggestions as to what's wrong?

Thanks

Hi mitchrc,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation.

Please gather your Nest Thermostat E's power readings of Battery, VOC, VIN, and lIN under Settings > Technical Info > Power. Also, remove the thermostat display from the base and wait about five minutes to see if the fan will turn off or stay on.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Zoe

Thx Zoe. Turns out the settings and wiring are correct. The cooling issue was being caused by another issue.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

Thanks for looking into this, Zoe.

@mitchrc, I appreciate your update on inspecting your system. How's it going so far? You can also check your thermostat's fan settings or schedule to make sure that there are no programmed temperature settings that conflict with your target temperature. Are you still experiencing odd behavior with your AC unit and fan? Tell us more—we're here to help!

Regards,
Mark
