Nest and nest link lose connection due to interference

Hi,

My nest thermostat loses connection to the nest heat link when I turn on my wireless Panasonic sound bar. Is there any way I can change the wireless channel on my nest thermostat?

thanks

Hey @richhill,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. Is the sound bar placed in between the thermostat and the Heat Link? Also, the thermostat and Heat Link communicate through weave, not Wi-Fi so there is no way of switching the channel for that. You can check out this article, maybe it will help: https://bit.ly/2UzPupC.

Thanks for your reply. No the sound bar isn't in between the nest and heat link. It's really odd

Thanks for the information. If the thermostat is mounted on a stand see if you can adjust the position in the room for it to one where the sound bar does not interfere with it.

Hi there, sorry for the late reply. My thermostat is wall mounted (in a different room than the sound bar) so I can't move it I'm afraid.

Hey @richhill,

Is your thermostat powered by a USB cable or T1 and T2? You can check by removing the display from the wall. If it's powered by T1 and T2, you can connect it to the Heat Link with these wires.
