Nest app doesn't allow me to adjust temperature.

I have an older Nest.  I will not migrate to Google.  The only option on my Android app is Home or Away.  How to add back the ability to adjust temperature?   Link in this help platform doesn't take me to another screen.

We don't have a Nest thermostat, but do the instructions for the "Nest app" in the Help topic below not work?

This unfortunately doesn't help.  Trying to use cellphone NEST app - not Google Nest app - to be able to adjust heat. The cell app shows only 1 possibility :  Home or Away. There are no options to or settings gear to do anything else, like lower the thermostat.

By "Google Nest app" I meant the "Nest app".

I don't know why, if you select your thermostat on the home screen in the Nest app, you are not getting EITHER a "Mode" option to select "Heat", "Cool", or "Heat \ Cool" mode, or something showing that the thermostat is set to "Heat", "Cool", or "Heat \ Cool" mode.  And if a mode is selected, you should have temperature options.

You could try contacting Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
