Nest app is only logging Away events in History log ever since GOOGLE merged with Nest

I haven’t seen a Home event logged into my Nest App Home/Away History log ever since Google merged with Nest. All I have is Away events showing up in my History log. I’ve tried deleting my Nest App and then reinstalling the Nest App only to find that nothing has changed, while I’m  spot checking  the Nest App, at random times during the Day and Night, and witness the App displaying Home or Away status changes on the starting Nest App screen, there are absolutely no Home events showing up in the History log, only the Away events are recording in the History Log.

Hi Hellcat,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

A few questions to further isolate the issue. What are the Google Nest devices you've selected to contribute for the Home/Away Assist feature? Did you use the location services on your mobile devices? How many mobile devices were added to the Nest app?

Let us know by replying to this thread.

Best regards,

Ryan

I have never had any devices programmed to be used for Home/Away location purposes with the Nest Learning Thermostat.

I have only ever had the NLT programmed to use the sensors in the NLT to detect activity for the purposes of changing the Home/Away setting, and it does. The anomaly is that the History Log stopped showing a “Home” change , only showing “Away” indications.

The Start of this undesirable anomaly coincided with the forced App. Update after Google merged with Nest.
