Nest app on android no longer works, and home.nest.com on chrome gives 403 forbidden error

I've been using my nest thermostats for a few years now.  Never any issues using  the app to setup schedules, change temps, heat, air, whatever.  With the constant pestering to switch to google from nest I finally did and I am  regretting it.  I can control my nest now from google home app, but the nest app doesn't work at all now. I wouldn't care if google home let me set schedules for my heating and cooling, but it doesn't.  I've also read that i don't think I can do that via google home with the nest E, and have to use the old nest app.  I constantly get error messages now when trying to log into the nest app.  It doesn't matter if I use my old email that I used to access nest or my current google account.  Errors both ways.  I've reinstalled, upgraded, cleared cache, you name it.  The app just won't work and neither will nest.home.com.  it gives me the 403 forbidden error.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

I don't have an answer to all of what seems to be happening in your case, but I can point out the following:

1. Once you migrate your Nest Account to your Google Account, you can only sign into the Google Nest app using your Google Account. (We migrated in 2020.)

2. Once you migrate your Nest Account to your Google Account, you can only sign onto the home.nest.com website using your Google Account.

3. We don't have a Nest thermostat, but judging from other posts in this forum, you still need to use the Google Nest app for some functions, even if you've migrated your Nest Account to your Google Account.
