Nest app won't turn on 2nd Stage Cooling

Not sure when it started but I noticed a few days ago when using my Pixel 6 Pro, Nest app 5.68.0.12(March 8, 2022)  my AC doesn't go into 2nd Stage Cooling, even if I crank the temperature down to 50F. When I change the temperature on the Nest it self it goes into 2nd stage cooling without a problem.

Same.  We use iOS, but my AC guy said “The system is only set up for one stage. It’s not a two speed AC . 2nd stage is a thermostat programming issue & get off second stage.”  Why is it so hard to find an answer?  Where’s customer service?
