Nest displays much higher room temperature than actual, so I had no heat last night.

My indoor temperature fell to 57-degree F this morning according to multiple sensors in the house. However, my Nest says it's 66 with a target temperature set to 67. Therefore, I had not heat last night. I was able to get heat pump running by turning up the target temperature higher than 67. The actual indoor temperature is 59 now but my Nest still says it's 66.

Have you tried to factory reset your thermostat?

Yes I did. It required me to remove and readd the device and the whole nine yard of setups. But problem remains. It appears that the Nest is always 8 degree higher than actual. So I am raising the target temperature 8 degree higher to get by.
