Hi
Please could someone help to confirm if my existing heating system is compatible with the nest thermostat e?
I have a Honeywell combined thermostat / programmer and it has 2 wired only A and B.
Many thanks
Justin

Fyi it is a battery powered T4 Thermostat. The third wire is in a block in the back box

Hi justinholland72,
Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest in our Nest Thermostats. Non-standard labels of A and B means that your system is proprietary. Proprietary systems aren’t compatible with Google Nest Thermostats. However, some proprietary systems can be rewired by a pro installer to be compatible.
Let us know if that helps.
Best,
Zoe

Hi Zoe, thanks for your reply. It was pretty basic set up in the end which I managed to work out myself from reviewing various independent feedback online. It was just a live switch so both of their wires were interchangeable between C and NO. So I was pretty disappointed to be honest in not being able to get an answer from Google on this.

Hi justinholland72,
I definitely understand your frustration with this. you may still get in touch with a pro installer to make your system compatible with our Nest Thermostat. Feel free to create a new thread if you have more questions or other concerns, and we'll be happy to help.
Regards,
Zoe

Hi MESKIMO526,
I'd like to take a closer look at it. Please share with us the make and model of your system and its wiring. Ensure that the labels of the wires are visible.
Thanks,
Jenelyn
