Just wanted to make a suggestion for the next gen 3 with a heat pump and aux heat strips. When my unit kicks on, the cool air in the lines blows throughout the house until the pump builds heat. Why not have a setting that will allow you to select a time the aux heat can run on start up to take the edge off until the heat pump builds good heat. I realize the balance feature helps the end result, but nothing on the front end. Maybe set a “time on” and an “outside temp limit” (could be the aux heat lockout setting min&maximum). Only for those extreme cold days. Maybe some nest engineer will see this.
