PXL_20230330_235225589.jpgthe black wire on H and the cream on the R aren't connected at the thermostat end and are terminated assuming they are from the old 2 wire system that was taken off prior to my nest install

And the Blue from the 4 is also not in use

Hi Krisstank

Thanks for posting here in Community. Can you help me with the photo of your previous thermostat wires and the make and model of your HVAC system? Furthermore, you can check this article to see your system’s compatibility to our Nest thermostats.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Zoe

Hi there,

I just want to follow up. A few questions: is your Nest Learning Thermostat newly installed? Has your heating worked before? Do you see any messages or code on your thermostat screen? Also, please try moving your red wire from RC to RH terminal. For your safety, make sure to turn the breaker off first before touching the wires.

Thanks for your help, Zoe.

Best,

Jenelyn
