Hello
A few weeks ago my NEST system said it was undergoing a retraining exercise (or something similar) to improve the efficiency of my heating. Two weeks ago it said the exercise was now over. For the last month, the boiler has used FOUR times as much heating oil that it used to. I know it has been cold for a week but this is nonsense. I woke up at 0305hrs a couple of days ago and I realised that the boiler was running. This was 3 hours before I have the temperature required to go up to 18.5 degrees from it's overnight setting of 10 degrees. Something is amiss here?
Any ideas of what is wrong? Not much of a "retraining exercise" IMO!

Hi SimonWP,
Thanks for posting ― let's get this sorted out.
A few questions: what Nest Thermostat do you have? Check this link to know more. Also, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
Best,
Mel
