Nest learming Thermostat compatibility

  My current thermostat has 4 wire connections to the following : W, Y, RC RH & G

Is nest learning thermostat compatible? Do i meed a C wire adapter? Kindly please let me know. I appreciate it.

Yes, it is compatible.

You might not need the Nest Power Adapter, but I always install a C wire. Is there a spare wire that you can use for the C wire?

No spare cable. So i got it installed with 4 cables with c connection. Now i checked and lin reading 40 MA @Patrick_Caezza

You should be good then.

All smart thermostats regardless of manufacture use a lot of power and I never trust the power-stealing feature. A C wire is the only sure thing in supplying that needed power. Just my opinion.
