Hi!! I'm a new Nest owner, 4th gen learning thermostat, just installed a week ago (Dec 7 2024). I have a radiant heat system (hydronic radiator), no AC, so it's simple. Only two wires at install -- Home app shows W1 (heat) and Rh (power). Heat configuration is set for gas-radiators. Under temperature preferences, the Home app is displaying True Radiant as "On -- Ready," but when I access the function, the only option is to use True Radiant or not. There is no max duration option, even though the Google information article for True Radiant indicates there should be one. I noticed I'm not the only user who's had this happen -- please advise!!

Hi, @nolo1993!
Thank you so much for reaching out to the community. I apologize that the 'Max duration' setting isn't showing up right now in True Radiant. I know how important this feature is to keep your home at a comfortable temperature. I'm here to help!
To provide you with the best assistance, please provide the following information:
True Radiant starts working automatically when your Nest thermostat is connected to a heating system that uses hot water to warm floors or radiators.
If you don't see the "True Radiant" option, your heating system might not be compatible. In that case, you'll see the "Early-on" option instead.
On the 4th generation Nest Learning Thermostat, you can only adjust general True Radiant settings. The "Max duration" setting is available on older models like the Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd generation) and Nest Thermostat E.
For instructions on adjusting True Radiant settings on your 4th generation thermostat, please see this article: Change True Radiant settings.
Also, to find help with True Radiant settings, you can refer to this article: Troubleshoot missing True Radiant settings.
Please keep me posted.
Best regards,
Ana

From this post, it appears that "max duration" is not an available function under True Radiant on the 4th generation Nest Learning Thermostat that I installed. I believe this answers my original question.
