We have 3 Nest Learning Thermostats. All are new. New wiring was pulled to accommodate these devices. The ambient temperature is considerably higher than the set temp. It is not warm enough outside for that to be impacting the Nests. One of the nests is over an unheated basement and not near any heat source like a register, or even near electrical. Other thermometers in the house indicate that the ambient temp showing on the nest is 6 - 8 degrees off. That is a considerable difference. How can this calibration be corrected?

signal strength on all 3 thermostats is in the 80s

And please tell me what network signal strength has to do with ambient temperature?

I have three brand new Nest learning thermostats. All three have a wifi signal strength of 80+ depending on other home traffic. The ambient temperature on all three shows significantly higher ambient temperatures than other thermometers in the house. The other thermometers all match. This is going to cause a problem when the winter comes. None of the Nests are over or near any heat sources that would throw them off. All three Nests are level based on the level in the units. How do we fix this calibration issue

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out to us again, and I'm sorry for the late response.
When a Nest Learning Thermostat is connected to the internet and on your app for a long time, the thermostat adopts the ambient temperature that your phone and the actual thermostat are sensing with the help of the internet connection. Therefore, if by any chance the signal strength is no longer stable, the thermostat malfunctions, including the inaccurate readings of the ambient temperature.
Moving forward, please help us with a photo of your thermometer next to the Nest Learning Thermostat. Both the thermometer and thermostat screens should be visible in the photo and show the difference in each other’s readouts. It will help us move forward.
Regards,
Zoe
