Nest learning thermostat compatibility

So I installed the thermostat, wired correctly but it would not blow warm air. Switching back and forth to the old thermostat a few times the same thing happens. The old stat will blow warm air. It's a gas furnace. Also noticed when removing the old thermostat there is a white wire that was not connected to anything therefore I did not connect it to the nest thermostat. Not sure if that was correct. Attached is a pic of old thermostat wiring.

Hi Msb7144,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, how is your Nest Thermostat wired?

Thanks,

Edward
