I arrived home today and the AC was off. My nest learning thermostat had no to it power. I have taken it off to plug into a USB mini to recharge the to recharge the battery. It has been charging for 3.5 hrs and still has a low charge when I connect it back to the base so it can not set temp, connect to WiFi or any other function. I have placed it back on an external charger to try to charge he battery but it looks like it is futile. I purchased this back in late 2019 or early 2020. Too bad I cannot cool the house down from its 85 F. I've had to recharge the battery with a external source a few times this year. it does not seem to get enough power like it use to from the Rh wire which use to keep the thermostat charged. If it is not charging does this mean it is dead and replace with something more dependable....

Hello @marduino,
Thanks for posting in the community. I apologize for the inconvenience your Nest Learning Thermostat is causing.
I understand that your device is not charging properly, even after being connected for more than 3 hours.
To resolve this problem, I need some information:
Please verify that the power readings for your Nest thermostat are optimal: VUSB ~5V; VIN ~11V; IIN ~ 100 / 200 mA.
Additionally, please check the power outlet and power ports to ensure the display is receiving power.
Please keep me updated so we can gather more information to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Catheryn.
