Biggest piece of junk ever. Does what it wants even not on learning, comes on for 2 seconds then shuts off, works after months of not, then goes back to its “brand new” days of doing what it wants. Google won’t do anything unless you send them money for the product you already wasted yoyr money on, or send them the whole product and go without, according to Fernando. Don’t waste months of your time and money on this product.

I’ve made several attempts to get this resolved, yet, Google has zero record of it.

Is it possible that the Home/Away Assist feature is overriding the schedule you set? If you turn Home/Away Assist off, does it behave better? (A couple of times my Nest has turned that feature on all by itself and I have to turn it off again.)
(Of course, that wouldn't explain the running-for-two-seconds problem.)

Hey folks,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community Forum.
There are a couple of factors to consider why the Google Nest thermostat behaves this way. What CBFox has mentioned was right. The Home/Away assist might be triggered by a mobile device associated with your thermostat and overrides the schedule you've set.
Try to reset your schedule and disable auto-learn then observe it for the next couple of days.
Thanks for your help, CBFox.
Let us know how it goes by replying to this thread.
Best regards,
Ryan
