My nest is set to 68. It says my house is 73 and will take 1 h 10 min to cool to 68. The blower is not on. The temperature has not changed at all.

Hi mwilliams1250,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? You can visit this link to check what type of thermostat you have. Do you see any messages or code on your thermostat or in the app?

Best,

Jenelyn

Sorry! Didn't see the replies. It is going terrible. It is the 3rd generation. Right now it's set to.70. Has been set to 70 all day but the internal temperature is 75. No messages or code on thermostat. I do keep getting an email message that says "Your A/C system likely failed to cool your home

When the A/C was on between 5:35 AM and 10:25 AM on May 30, 2023, your home got 4°F warmer. This is higher than expected based on your local weather and recent A/C system performance. Learn more

Hey folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for looking into this, Jenelyn and Emerson.

@mwilliams1250, it appears to be a power-related concern that could cause this. Please gather your thermostat's power reading in the Technical Info settings. Also, what type of system do you have? (Heat Pump or Conventional Type)

For heat pumps:

  • Did you check the O/B wire configuration and try changing the O-wire to B-wire configuration or vice versa?

For conventional types:

  • Did you verify if the fan and heating still work?

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark
