Nest not heating house

Our Nest was working fine until summer started, then it couldn't get on the network, but still worked fine. But now it's 11 degrees outside and it won't get over 63. I hear it and we feel heat coming from registers periodically, but it won't get up to the 73 degrees we have it set to.

@cconawa,

if your heat pump is running continuously and simply not warming your house to 73°F, then more likely you have a problem with your heating system not having enough refrigerant or improperly charged with refrigerant and you’re not getting maximum heat production. Also check your air filter. Make sure your air filter is clean and not dirty. if you can get to your air handler, you will find two copper pipes feeding your air handler. One is small and one is large. And heat pump mode the large one should be very hot and the small one should be pretty cold. Is that the case at your house?
