I have had my Nest installed in my home since 2019 when I installed a heat pump. For the most part it has worked beautifully. However recently, in the last few days, it seems to want to go into "Away" mode, even when I'm home. Specifically today I was away or several hours and came home and the stat kicked on and the heat was running. Then while I was sitting at my computer, not 20 feet away, I felt a chill and when I checked my app I saw the stat was on "Away". I noticed a similar situation yesterday as well and have realized that it has been happening somewhat frequently these past weeks. Nothing has changed, my phone is the same for the past 2 years (iPhone X) and there haven't been any updates to the OS. (iOS 16.7.10)
This is becoming a pain to say the least. If I trip the home/away to "Home" or more specifically walk past the stat, everything goes back to normal but it shouldn't be happening in the first place, and it never used to. My understanding is that it detects my phone not being in range as the criteria to set to "Away" and my phone being in range to set it to "Home".

Correction. The stat goes to "Eco", not "Away".

And a further bit of information to add. Today the exact same thing happened at almost the exact same time. And oddly, at night, when my phone is approximately the same distance from the Next, but on the second floor, it never happens.

Although I thought I had posted it I was mistaken. I have the 3rd Gen Nest.
Any troubleshooting I may have done before was not relate to this problem. I did some research after posting and saw a reference to rebooting the Nest. Might this be the case? The unit has been cooperative since my posts.
