Nest says aux heat type is electric, but I have propane

I love my Nest 3rd Gen, everything seems to be working but when I look at the settings, it says heat pump with electric aux heat but I have a heat pump with propane aux heat? As I said everything seems to work. Did I wire it wrong? Does it matter?

Thank you again

Hi mcvickinmotion,

Thanks for reaching out. If you haven't yet, please try the steps below to change the type of heating equipment that you have.

  1. Press the thermostat ring to bring up the Quick View menu.
  2. Select Settings Equipment. You’ll see all the wires currently connected to your thermostat.
  3. Continue. You’ll see a list of equipment attached to your thermostat.
  4. Choose Heat type, then select the type of heating you have.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Edward
