Nest show Away while I’m here at home

So my Nest had been working well since I bought it in 2020. 2 Saturdays ago I upgraded iPhones to an Apple 15 Pro Max. The next day, it went into “eco” away mode, and being that it’s a Texas Summer and well over 100° it struggled to cool. However a few hours later it still didn’t cool so I called an AC service company. They checked my HVAC unit and said it needed a Freon recharge. I got the recharge and it was back in action. Unfortunately after 3 days, it started going back into Away mode and the struggle to cool started all over again. Yesterday I had to have the AC checked again, and nothing looks out of the sorts. Again, it was cooling yesterday and today I’ve been home, on my internet, and it will cool then I’ll notice it get warm, and like clockwork I check the App and it’s in away mode.

Ive shut off all learning, I’ve shut off any smart feature - I’m a single home owner so my info is the only info on the device.

This is in week 3 and I just don’t know what else I can do.

Hi @sa_roxx,

Thanks for posting in the community. I can totally understand how frustrating this is. It’s hot, you're at home, and your Nest thermostat is acting up. It sounds like you've already taken some great steps to troubleshoot the issue, and I appreciate your patience so far.

I want to assure you that we’re here to help. To better understand the situation and provide tailored assistance, could you please share some additional details:

  1. What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  2. What type of system do you have? (Heat Pump or conventional type)
  3. Do you see a power error code on your thermostat?
  4. Have you set up a temperature schedule for your thermostat?

I’m committed to helping you resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Please don’t hesitate to share any other information that might be helpful.

Best Regards,

Mario.
