Nest stops cooling after a few hours before hitting set temp

Whether I program on Google Home or directly on T-stat, AC consistently stops cooling but fan continues to blow before hitting set point. I shut power off and restart to cool and then it kicks back in after a couple mins wait period. I have no programs or energy saving features running that I am aware of.  HELP!!

Hello NestyBesty,

Thank you so much for posting in this community. I’m sorry to know your Nest thermostat constantly stops cooling. Don’t worry; I’m glad to assist you.

Please help me out with some questions to isolate the situation.

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • When did the trouble start?
  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?
  • Are there any error messages? If so, what are they exactly?
  • Do you have a C wire connected in your thermostat?
  • Is this a new installation?

Keep me posted to get further assistance.

Best regards,

Daniel.
