Nest temperature sensor needs custom schedule

I saw some threads posted in 2021, but there was no followup. For anyone who goes to bed after 9 pm the current time blocks simply don't make sense. I'm not familiar with typical feature request formats, but I'd imagine many people like myself purchased a sensor simply assuming that it would allow a custom schedule. I can safely say I would have returned my thermostat if you could only have it change temperature at preset times rather than when I wanted it to. A more complex solution could be to have a learning system for manual changes of the sensors and then integrating it into the schedule view, but at the very least defining custom sensor times is very important for me to get proper utility out of the product without compromising logical usage of my thermostat for the last 4+ hours of my waking day. Preferably these times would be done on a day by day basis since some days I go to sleep earlier than others.

Hi thermal,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're glad that you are interested in Nest Temperature Sensor schedule customization. We appreciate your request for this additional feature, and please be assured that our product team is working non-stop with different partners to bring the best features to the Google Nest devices. So, please let our product team know about it by sending feedback.

Right now, the best option is to set a schedule for each thermostat where you can select which temperature sensor you want to use in the Morning, at Midday, in the Evening, and at Night.

In the meantime, I'll go ahead and lock this thread within 24 hours. If you run into any more questions in the future, please feel free to create a new thread.

All the best,

Zoe
