Nest temperature solution

Hi , I am pulling my hair out . We have a 4 bed home in the UK , we have a nest Lear ing thermostat 3rd gen upstairs near our boiler (where old thermostat was positioned) .  Upstairs it will reach 19 degrees and turn off the heating yet in our living room it may be 16-17 degrees.  So I look for a solution to this !I see sensors but realise from other posts google have not made them compatible with UK or eu nests ?? Is there anywhere solution ? Moving the thermostat maybe to the living room (this will leave an ugly hole where it was previously so not preferred ) has any UK person come up with a solution ? I still can't believe google provides the states with a solution but says stuff it for the UK or EU?

Hiya Stuartrossy1!

I can see how this situation would be frustrating. It's important to note that there is no guarantee that Google will release temperature sensors compatible with the EU market. However, you can express your interest by filling out this feedback form.

In the meantime, there are a few workarounds you can consider

As you mentioned, moving the thermostat might not be ideal, but it can provide a more accurate reading of the room temperature you want the thermostat to consider.

You can also contemplate installing smart radiator valves since these valves can connect to your thermostat and allow you control in individual rooms. This way, when the thermostat reading upstairs satisfies the heating requirement, the valves in your living room can remain open for additional heating. You can get more details by checking this article on how radiator valves work with Nest thermostats.

Let me know how it goes.

Kindly,
Angel
