Hi All. I got a new Nest thermostat 4th gen. I installed it. The app said it was installed but it wouldn't let me set any schedules and also wouldn't let me go into settings. I factory reset the thermostat and tried installing again. Again, installation was successful and I could see it on Google home app but same thing happened to where I couldn't set schedules nor go into settings. I factory reset the device and reinstalled my old nest so I could get AC. Now the new device is still in my devices and can't be deleted. Was that a bad device and should I return it? Or is there a fix? Thanks for any help!

I am experiencing the exact same issue. I just got the device a couple of days ago and haven't been able to fix it yet. I've been told by technical support that there were some problems with the last update to the Google Home app that are causing these problems, and that there should be a fix on the way soon. I'm hoping for sooner rather than later, as right now the unit is an overpriced paperweight.

I actually bought two. The first one installed perfectly but the second one is giving me fits. I'm thinking I should just return it and get another one. I don't we ant to hold on to it outside of the return window

So I returned the second nest(master bedroom) that wasn't connecting. I got another nest and installed everything. It seemed to work fine but now my first nest(living room) is having issues! It's controlling the AC but it's not connecting to app and says that there's an E448 error: no system power😡

Having a similar issue. Installed and added to Google Home just fine on Monday. Now I can’t control the thermostat in the app and can’t remove it from the app either. I’ve tried everything including factory resets, deleting/creating a new home, etc. Incredibly frustrating.

Not sure if this is related however my 4th gen got hung up on the initial setup. I then logged into my Nest account on the web, removed the old thermostat, then used my ipad to add (+) a new device and the installation worked.
Hope this helps.
