Nest thermostat generation three stuck on Home logo.

Just out of the blue I have the nest home logo with A light blue background and my nest thermostat is stuck. The green light is flashing, which is supposed to mean it’s updating but it never comes back. I took it off and put it on a USB power overnight so the battery should be fine. Is there anyway to reset other than the common 10 second routine I’ve done 100 times?

Thanks for posting in the community! I'm sorry to hear your Nest thermostat is stuck on the Nest home logo. I'd be happy to help.

I appreciate all the details and the steps you've already performed. Since the display is stuck on the Nest home logo, I'd suggest the following step:

Perform a battery disconnect:

1. Plug the display into a USB cable.
2. While the display is connected to the power source, press the display for around 10 seconds to perform a hard restart without connecting to the thermostat base.
3. Unplug the display.
4. Place the display into the base to see if it is able to turn on without stucking in the Nest Home logo.

Sorry didn't work. I went ahead and replaced this gen 2 with a gen 3 that matches my other gen 3. Would go gen 4 but do not have C line yet
