Nest thermostat has stopped heating our water

How do get this issue resolved please? I raised it in https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Home-Automation/Power-cut-yesterday-Nest-showing-no-usage-and... and by the time I hit a reply I was on holiday. The item was the closed so I could not reply there.

The thermostat was working fine until we had a power cut and now nothing. This is obviously pretty annoying.

I did try to open up another discussion about this over the weekend but that has disappeared.

thanks

Tim

We have an immersion switch and the water heats so there is no issue other than the nest has stopped triggering the heating of the hit water.
Thanks

I tried the steps advised at the linked discussion in my first post. Whilst I get the click from the heat link, it does not actually trigger any heating of hot water.

Thanks

I had this problem.  It turned out to be the motor in a valve (silver box with Honeywell written on it).   The problem wasn't nest. A plumber fixed it.

@Seankitson, thanks for sharing your experience. Indeed, sometimes it isn't the Google Nest system who's guilty of these kind of situations.

@TimS1

Hi there and thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm sorry to hear about the situation with your thermostat. Let's check on this. I saw that my colleague gave you a few steps/tests to apply and based on what you said, the results show the fact that the relays inside of the Heat Link work as expected (the click sound). the presence of the clicks inside of the Heat Link  reports relays are fine, it is a non-Nest thermostat related issue such as a malfunctioning hot water system or electrical component.

In this case we'll recommend you to reach out to an installer to test the continuity on the Heat Link. Based on the continuity test results the installer should determine if the Heat Link is working properly. If it does, advise them to check the rest of the heating system components: wires, valves, boiler.
