Hello Kevin13,

I understand that you don't want to connect your new thermostat to a Wi-Fi network. The Nest Thermostat 2020 version requires a Wi-Fi network, as most of its settings can be found in the Google Home app. I'd be happy to help you install it without an internet connection.

Please follow these steps:

  1. You need to install the Google Home app on your phone and sign in with your preferred Gmail account.
  2. Proceed with the setup in the Google Home app. Here's how.
  3. Follow the prompt until you reach the "Wi-Fi connection" page.
    1. Skip or cancel the page by closing the app.
  4. Restart your thermostat by removing its batteries for at least 3 minutes before plugging them back in.
  5. You should be routed to the temperature page, and you should control it manually.

Let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Mark

Hey there,

I'm checking back in. Were you able to do the steps above? I'd be glad to hear from you — I'd like to make sure everything is working.

Thanks,

Mark
