this is what online says to do but first of all what is your thermostats tile? either way, when i go to the clock icon and it says "hold temp" at top, i select the temp i want but there is no "hold temperature" button it still shows 65temp ending at 11pm. and at 110pm it does shut down to another temp that i dont want.
these things shouldnt be this complicated

Hi Isabel1976,
Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that your thermostat won't hold temperature, though you've already followed the steps on how to start a temperature hold via the Home app. Have you also tried to start a temperature hold via the Nest Thermostat itself? If not yet, kindly follow these:
Let us know how it goes.

I’ve tried the above as well. I do not want to use Eco or comfort, as I want a consistent, 74° forever. How do I go about it. When I set a manual hold, it will only let me do it for 24 hours

Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to us, and I'm sorry for the late response. Infinite temperature hold is only applicable for Eco temperature. If you want your Nest Thermostat to hold a certain temperature, then you can only do it in the app or on the the thermostat for 24 hours only.
Additionally, keep in mind that maintaining a constant temperature without any energy-saving settings or setbacks may result in higher energy consumption and costs compared to using energy-efficient programming modes. It's worth considering the potential impact on energy usage when opting for a constant temperature setting.
Let us know if that helps.
Regards,
Zoe
