Nest thermostat not connecting to network

Like many others in this Forum, my Nest thermostat while I was away a week ago disconnected from my wifi and I cannot reconnect. Followed all troubleshooting instructions to  no avail, finally frustrated I removed the device and now I cannot add it back and the thermostat is of no use at all. It's getting colder and I have no control of my furnace. Thank you for any advice!

I'm having same issues. Think I wasted my money.

I called support, got a technician who walked me through all possible workarounds, then concluded there was it had to be a malfunction and a replacement unit is on its way to me as my Nest was still under the two year warranty. It's kind of a convoluted process. They actually ship just the screen part which comes off easily, so that you don't have to spend more money to uninstall/install the whole unit.

How did you "remove it"?

If you just deleted it from your Nest account, try doing a reset to factory default on the thermostat and testing it up again in the Nest app.

How do you have the thermostat wired? Is there a C wire installed?

@Patrick_CaezzaThank you for responding. After I posted I got in touch with tech support by phone call and we determined the unit needed replacement, got an RMA and a new unit will be on its way. But to answer your question, I had not removed the unit, only deleted it from the Nest app.
