Nest thermostat not connecting to phone or wifi network

This is the second nest Thermostat E that we have had, the first one was replaced as it was faulty. This one will neither connect to our phone TD023 error nor will it connect to the WiFi all the T004/8 etc. error codes. I've called out WiFi provider, everything is as per the Google manuals and info we have been given by google. What is the problem? Is this product problematic?

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. The TD023 error can occur when your thermostat is unable to connect to your phone or tablet over Bluetooth. Follow the steps below and let us know how it goes.

  1. Make sure that the thermostat is powered on.
  2. Move your phone closer to the thermostat.
  3. Reset the account connection on your thermostat. Note: Reset of account connection varies on different thermostat models. Make sure to do a reset connection, and not perform a factory reset of your device.

Hi, we have tried this multiple times. I've reset the thermostat and still only have a little House picture on the screen. Every time we try to connect to the WiFi we get various T0004/8 etc. messages. It will not connect to either of our Pixel 6 pro phones, it appears not to work at all. This is the second one we have had. It too appears to be faulty. I have also followed all the guides online, contacted my wifi provider and all settings are as they should be. Please advise?
