Nest thermostat not dropping temp

Had my 3rd gen thermostat work perfectly for the past 3 years. However, since it’s started to get a little colder here in the UK I’ve noticed my nest thermostat temp doesn’t seem to be lowering and therefore not triggering the heating to come on. For example, it is currently 1:30am here, the outside temp is roughly 13 degrees C but my nest seems to think it is 20.5 degrees C in my hallway. Heating hasn’t been on at all today. Only thing I can think is I recently moved the receiver and so had to disconnect and reconnect the wires but the receiver seems to be working ok because if I turn the thermostat up it does trigger the boiler to come on and heat and I also tidied up the cables to the thermostat by chiselling out the wall and hiding them behind plaster. Any thoughts?

Hi KyleT87,

Thanks for reaching out. Have you tried to restart the thermostat from Settings > Reset > Restart ? This should re-calibrate the thermostat and its sensors. Can you post a photo of the thermostat next to another thermometer/thermostat? I want to check the difference between the temperature shown on the Google Nest Thermostat and the actual room temperature.

All the best,
Cristian
