My nest won't follow my schedule. I have Home/Away off, Eco off, and Auto-Schedule off. I've deleted and created the schedule. What should I do?

It sounds like you've tried troubleshooting by turning off various settings and recreating the schedule, but your Nest still isn't following it. You might want to check for any software updates for your Nest thermostat and ensure it's properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. If the issue persists, reaching out to Nest support for further assistance could be helpful.

Hi BenedictR,
Thank you for posting in this community and sharing your concerns with me. I'm sorry to hear your Nest thermostat’s schedule is not working as you expected. Don’t worry; let me assist you.
This feature learns your ideal temperatures and creates a personalized plan for you. Adjust the temperature through your phone or the thermostat, and Auto-Schedule does the rest. In a few days, it'll create a personalized schedule based on your preferences.
If you want to reset the schedule and create a new one, follow these steps:
Go to the option Settings, select Restart, and then select reset the auto-schedule. This option will erase your current schedule and allow the thermostat to learn a new schedule.
After these steps, if you don’t want to use the auto-schedule anymore, continue with these steps:
When the thermostat is back on, choose Nest Sense, select auto-schedule, and switch the option off. Scroll down and tap the option Done.
Let me know if this information helps.
Best regards,
Daniel

Hi,
I don't want the auto schedule, I want the Nest to follow the schedule I have set. I have stated I have reset the schedule above.
I want to know why it won't follow the schedule I set?

Hello BenedictR,
I appreciate you staying informed with me. Regarding your question, the Nest thermostat, after about a week, will have a good grasp of your preferences and create a personalized schedule. However, The thermostat will continue to fine-tune this schedule based on your adjustments.
Since you have created a new schedule, this device will be personalized to your preferences for a better experience.
keep me posted if you need more information,
Regards,
Daniel

It sounds like you've tried a lot of troubleshooting steps already. Here are a few more suggestions to get your Nest back on track:
Check Time Zone Settings: Ensure your Nest thermostat is set to the correct time zone. Sometimes, incorrect time settings can mess with the schedule.
Factory Reset: Perform a factory reset to erase all settings and schedules. This can help if there's a software glitch causing the issue.
Update Firmware: Make sure your thermostat has the latest firmware. You can check for updates in the settings menu.
Connectivity Issues: Ensure your thermostat has a stable connection to your Wi-Fi. Connectivity problems can sometimes interfere with scheduling.
Manual Mode: Try setting your thermostat to manual mode and then back to scheduled mode to see if it starts following the schedule again.
App Control: Double-check the schedule on the Nest app. Sometimes, changes made on the thermostat don't sync properly with the app and vice versa.
If none of these steps work, it might be worth contacting Nest Support for further assistance. They can help diagnose if there's a hardware issue or deeper software problem.
