Nest thermostat not heating recently. Testing heat works, but normal operation only blows cold air

Hello,

I've recently encountered an issue where my Nest thermostat is not activating heat properly. The system will read that it is heating, but it is only blowing cold air.

I have a heat pump and it was working up until just a few days ago (just before the new year).

I have performed tests and can confirm that the heat works in test mode, but it will not activate heat under normal operation.

Please help!

Thanks,

Corey

Hi CoreyG,

Thanks for reaching out ― let's see what's going on.

Give these steps a try:

Check your air filter, as a clogged filter may cause a similar symptom.
If the air filter is dirty and needs to be changed, I recommend replacing it and let us know if the issue continues after you change the filter.

Keep us posted.

Best,
Mel
