Nest thermostat not heating to set temp

Dolch0813

My husband and I recently went away for 5 days and set our nest to away. Ever since returning the nest is not heating to the set temperature (I.e set to 67 and continually reads 63 indoor without kicking on the heat). What can be done to troubleshoot this issue?

This sounds like our issue. We went through six years of this. Finally I spoke with an HVAC guy online and our in person tech came up with the same solution so since they both agreed on the problem and solution I  am hopeful. Turns out the water wasn’t draining out if the furnace properly which cause it to shut down until enough drained out. Then it would go back on again. They did an adjustment today. Praying it works

Which Nest thermostat do you have and how do you have it wired?

Is the system turning on when you set it for heat? Does the blower start?

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for assisting, @Patrick_Caezza.

I appreciate you posting here on this thread with your experience and what you've done, @Suefoo. Please keep us posted on how it goes.

@Dolch0813, you can try disabling the Home and Away Assist so Eco Mode won't activate. Also, please check your thermostat's power readouts on "Equipment" settings for the Nest Thermostat 2020 model and "Technical Info" for the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E.

I'll look forward to your response.

Best,

Mark
