My Google Nest cannot connect to the Internet

I have a Google Nest and my app can’t find the thermostat. It searches for other Google devices nearby but I don’t have any. This is a replacement unit from Google. I have tried connecting on 2GHz and 5 and we can find the thermostat. I have good WiFi coverage at my phone next to the unit. At least with my earlier model I could see WiFi nearby and select it. Not true with the $139 model. Any help is appreciated.

Hi JimL1,

Thanks for reaching out — I'd love to help.

Could you please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app or use a different phone to add the Nest Thermostat?

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Jenelyn
