Nest thermostat showing no power error

My nest thermostat has suddenly stopped working and is showing an E298 (no power) error. It has worked perfect for about a year but now for some reason has no power.

What kind of heating/cooling system do you have?

Do you have and know how to use a multimeter to test for 24v AC voltage?

You should have 24-30v AC at the system if you test from R to C. If nothing then look for blown fuse on the board. Or transformer could be bad. Even the main board could be bad. Have to diagnose it using a multimeter is only way.
