Nest thermostat turns off before reaching set tempature

Hello, 

My nest has a very short heat cycle. When I turn on the heat it will run for about 30 seconds to 2 minutes and then turn off. It doesn't reach the temperature it's set to. I have taken off the face and manually tied the red and white wires together, and the heater runs as long as it wants. I'm hoping this is just a setting. 

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
