My nest thermostat nest app says that I’m connected to an account. My phone app is asking for an “entry Key” and won’t connect until I put on me in. How do I proceed?

Thank you for this info. I’ve followed these steps and it doesn’t give me an entry key. It says device associated with an account. It’s not associated with my account so I assume it is associated with the previous owners account. How do I get past this?

Sorry , all the information is required, your first post did not mention that this device was previously owned by someone else, so yes it would be linked to another account. You will need to factory reset it, and start from scratch.
