Hi, I brought a nest learning thermostat to replace our old ( ancient) thermostat in a property we just brought. The old thermostat is one that you can move about. So I brought a stand for the nest so we could pop it on the shelf. I've just had a boiler guy out to replace the old thermostat with the new nest... he says I need to buy a proper Google nest power cable before he can install it... after looking for ages I can't seem to find an official Google power cable for the nest. BUT I have realised that I have a power cable that fits it... I think its from a roku device. My question is.... would this work? Or do I need to buy an 'official' one? If I need to buy an official one where do I get one from please???
Many thanks

Hi Zo3,
Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to know more about it. A few questions: what is the make and model of your old thermostat? Also, in what states are you located?
Best,
Jenelyn

Hi there! If you are referring to the Heat Link, there are no Nest cables for it. But if you are referring to the Nest stand, as long as it is a micro-USB cable and it fits, it should be fine.
