Thermostat displays an inaccurate temperature. It says 25C when actual is 18C. Plus will not connect to my phone app. I plugged into a wall powered USB source and the green light is blinking indicating full battery charge...

Very poor design, it should have reverted to my ECO temperature!!! I am pretty sure the internal battery has become defective, and supplying a low a voltage into the thermostat system (processors). Outdoor temp is -10C, so cannot wait to test, order and receive a replacement battery. So replaced the whole unit with same model - been lots of changes in 2 years, but got it installed and functioning. Not impressed, what if I was away for 1 week, it could have been a disaster with while house frozen up!!! Having the furnace shut off is ridiculous, again, I'll repeat this, it should have reverted to my ECO temperature!!!

I guess the solution has been to buy a new one. It did work out in the end but by looking at the internals it seems something on the battery that affects the thermostat.

Same here ... I wonder if Google's plan is to freeze us to death to save global warming. 🤣
I had to change my overall temperature setting from 21 degrees to 27 ... just to have around 21 at the house. This is almost certainly a software issue.
