Hello JohnCraig,

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with your Nest Thermostat, specifically the heat icon not being displayed. To address this, here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Ensure that the wire in W is properly inserted and the tab is pushed down.
  2. Try restarting your Nest Thermostat. You can do this by going to the main menu, selecting "Settings," and then choosing "Restart." This might help resolve any temporary glitches.
  3. Confirm that you have set the desired temperature to 70°F. Sometimes, the display might not show the heat icon if the target temperature is already reached or if it's set too close to the current room temperature.
  4. If the issue persists, try power cycling your HVAC system by turning off the power for a few minutes and then turning it back on. This can sometimes reset the connection and resolve communication issues.

I hope this helps and that you can soon enjoy a comfortable temperature in your home.

Best regards,
Mark
