That seems to be either the Nest Thermostat E or the Nest Learning Thermostat (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9259578), both of which get installed in the Google Nest app and should then AUTOMATICALLY appear in the Google Home app, provided that you are logging onto both apps with the same Google Account and are accessing the same Google Nest "home/community" in each app. If that is your situation and you've installed your thermostat in the Google Nest app but are NOT seeing it in the Google Home app, did you try the workaround I shared earlier that has worked for many other customers?

Hi, try this. Then let me know how it goes.

It can depend on exactly which thermostat you have (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9246551).

The Nest Learning Thermostat and the Nest Thermostat E get installed in the Google Nest app and then should AUTOMATICALLY appear in the Google Home app. Over the past year, customers in this forum have reported this hasn't been happening, and many of those have used this workaround.

1) In the Google Nest app, create a new, temporary Google Nest "home/structure".

2) In the Google Home app, go to that new, empty Google Nest "home/structure" and delete it.

This apparently forces the 2 apps to sync, and the thermostat appears in the Google Home app.

In contrast, the Nest Thermostat gets installed in the Google Home app, and does NOT appear in the Google Nest app.

Hi Amina1,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community forum.  I'd be happy to shed some light on your situation here. Are you getting any kind of error message when you try to pair your device?

Did you get a chance to try the steps shared by MplsCustomer and Cary1111? If so, how did it go? Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks for the help, @MplsCustomer and @Cary111.

Cheers,

Renz

Hi

tried all steps nothing working.

i can’t add Nest thermostat to Google home app

@Amina1

It's hard to offer any advice or suggestions if we don't know what error or results you are getting, or whether you do indeed have a Nest Thermostat and not a Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E.

You could try contacting Support and walking through your specifics with them:

. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Try Nest app first as it seems by the limited information you have a Thermostat 2020
